My name is Sue Taylor, and I am standing as the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the United Kingdom
Independence Party (UKIP) in the Woodspring area of North Somerset. On a daily basis I hear, read and see in the media,
stories that all too often reflect the discontent and tragic state of this country. I know that every generation recalls
how much happier their childhood was, and how that infamous line of 'in my day' is used to somehow qualify that
recollection, but in recent years I find myself saying the self same words, and I have realised that it really is true,
as....... ' in my day' things were better, safer, simpler, less restricted and yet some how more controlled. I was brought
up in a generation where respect and common sense was the norm, responsibility and accountability reigned supreme and
where discipline and integrity were crucial to achieving our aspirations. Hard working, law abiding and responsible
citizens where rewarded for their efforts, and consequently they enjoyed the benefits that those rewards brought. Today
in the U K we see a society that is fractured, demoralised and is being systematically suffocated largely due to our
membership of the European Union. We have lost our sense of direction and are slowly loosing our identity as we are being
stripped of our independence thanks to a government who has seen fit to simply dispose of us to Europe, like some kind of
unwanted gift and these actions just highlight how little regard they have for this country and the people of this country.
We are muted by the over powering human rights rules, health and safety rules burden business's and organisations with
excessive and costly regulations, and political correctness has sent us all into a state of paranoia, not to mention the
massive financial strain it puts on our economy and this is all as a direct result of our membership of the European Union.
The U.K Independence Party is the only political party that has fought continuously to protect our country and its people,
its culture and its traditions,its democracy and its independence, and we have always called for the government to ask
the people what they want to happen to their country by giving them a referendum and they have blatantly refused to do
that. The U K Independence Party is the only political party, that will actually listen to the people of this country,
hear what they say and act as they ask us to. As the U K Independence Party PPC for Woodspring, it is my focus and
commitment to work for and with the community, in order that you will realise that there is an alternative choice and
that we will deliver what we promise.
